Topic: Possible drug dealers living in rental unit
I have own a rental unit that is beside my house. For the past year I've had a fairly good renter. She mostly pays the rent on time and keeps the place extremely clean. The problems are with her son and ex-husband. Her es-husband is a drug addict and has moved in w/o my permission. Her 21 yr. old son is well on his way to being a drug addict and also has his 30 yr old g/f and her 2 kids over most mights. There is a clause in the lease that states no more than 2 people per bedroom for the 2 bedroom rental. Is there anyway I can evict just the ex-husband and son w/o evicting her?

I tell all my tenants that failure to follow the lease to the letter will result in immediate eviction; I make NO EXCEPTIONS and neither should you. The ex-husband, girlfriend, and kids should never be allowed to spend the night. Do you have insurance on that building? Just know if any of them get seriously injured or even die, you don't want that to come back on you. Tell your tenant (if you can pull her aside long enough to have a conversation with her) that these extra people have to go or she goes!
