Section 8 Inspections

Section 8 vouchers are administered at the local level by various local administtrative offices and departments. You need to contact the LOCAL administrator and get a "Landlord Packet". It will have all the information you need and detail the inspection process.

Look up housing and urban development and that will give you a good first step.

HUD is a good place to start. ALso, check with your local government web site for a "housing authority". Also google for our city.

The section 8 housing in my area has a site that links to HUD's site with a list of housing standards as a reference. You may be able to find it on HUD's site listed as ("A Good Place To Live!) or if you can't find it there check www.cmhanet.com and click on section 8 then on Landlord info then scan down the page to the highlighted title "A Good Place To Live!" and click there.
