Topic: one tennat moves out
Hello - have a two bedroom rented to to young guys. One of them skipped out and the other says that he is only responsible for half the rent and I need to go after the other guy. Can I get him to pay the whole rent? I offered to move in and be his roomate but he didnt feel comfortable. What rights do I have. The lease was very simple just saying both of their names and rate and dates. thanks

Each of your tenants should be responsible for the whole rent. Check your state laws or your rental agreement. Each tenant is responsible for each other. You have one rental agreement. You should not have to go to the other tenant.
