Topic: Whats a landlord to do
So heres the situation in brief. The current tenants lease is up and has been on a month by month lease and has been changing his last termination date. Finally he confirmed it to 8/19 (a 30 day notice). He asked if he could have his "friend" take up his rent. I asked her for her application and we would go from there. Two days go by and nothing, so I post up an vacancy ad. When they saw that ad, they flipped and have accused me of racial discrimination. What are a landlords right and protection from these kind of things?
